Hotel Grano de Oro is a turn of the century tropical Victorian home turned boutique hotel. The Garden Suite is the original living room of the home – which is over 100 years old!
The smell of the wood is the first thing you will notice when you enter to the Suite, taking you back in time. The original wood paneling on the walls is still in perfect condition thanks to the great work of our maintenance team. The essence of the original room is still present in this relaxing and comfortable suite furnished with period pieces and a luxurious king sized bed.
Oh … but there’s more! When you enter the Suite, the back of the room will captivate you. Two large glass windows look into a private patio surrounded by lush vegetation. A private paradise in which to enjoy a romantic drink or dinner. Or just relaxing with a good book.
You will be soothed by the melody of small birds typical to San Jose, called “Corn eats” and “Yellow breast” and you may even hear the song of the “Yiguirro”, the Costa Rican national bird.
Sitting here you may ask yourself: Am I in the middle of a small jungle? No … remember…you are practically in the center of a big city!!!
